In this procedure, the dentist takes tissue from one area of the mouth and stitches the tissue to the gums, making them come up higher and cover the tooth root completely. Gum grafts are effective, but they can be painful.

With pinhole gum rejuvenation, Dr. Piotrowski will use a needle to make a tiny hole in your gum tissue. Using that hole, he’ll loosen your gums and gently pull them up to cover more of your tooth. Because the procedure involves no cutting or stitching, the discomfort and recovery time are minimal. However, the results are just as good as gum grafting.
